Area of the Rectangle = Length x Width
Area of the Circle = π x r2
Area of ellipse = π (a x b)

Calculate the area of the square and the total cost value for the total square foot, if the length of one side is 20ft and also the price per square foot is 23 $.
Solution:
Step 1: Write the data from the above question.
Side Length = 20, area of a square =?
Step 2: Write the formula of the area of a square and the total cost.
Area of Square = (Side Length)2
Total Cost = total area x cost per square ft
Step 3: Put the values in the above formula and simplify.
Area of Square = (Side Length)2
= (20)2
= (20) x (20)
Area of Square = 400 ft2
Total Cost = total area x cost per square ft
= 400 x 23
Total Cost = 9200 $
Example 2:
Calculate the area of the circle and the total cost value for the total square foot, if the radius of the circle is 20ft and also the price per square foot is 29 $.
Solution:
Step 1: Write the data from the above question.
Radius = 20, area of circle =?
Step 2: Write the formula of the area of a circle and the total cost.
Area of the Circle = π x r2
Total Cost = total area x cost per square ft
Step 3: Put the values in the above formula and simplify.
Area of the Circle = π x r2
= 3.14 x (20)2
= 3.14 x (20) x (20)
Area of Circle = 1256.6 ft2
Total Cost = total area x cost per square ft
= 1256.6 x 29
Total Cost = 36441.4 $
